DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION OF SOUTH FERRY TERMINAL STRUCTURAL BOX


Partial removal and reconstruction of the existing two-track 1/9 Line tunnel in the vicinity of Greenwich Street and Battery Place to form tunnel bellmouth to accommodate new diverging route to the new terminal station. A two-track cut and cover tunnel was constructed within Battery Park, which included underpinning three existing active subway tunnel structures, as well as construction of a new two-track terminal station directly opposite the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.
