Schiavone Construction Co. LLC’s (“Schiavone”) disadvantaged, women, and minority businesses program reflects the company’s continued commitment to creating a level playing field, where qualified minority, women and disadvantaged businesses can obtain contracting opportunities. Schiavone’s program seeks to maximize opportunities for Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Women Business Enterprise (WBE), and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation on our projects. Schiavone’s objective on every project is to meet the stipulated participation goals and to engage in Good Faith Efforts. At Schiavone, everyone from executive management to field personnel work together to ensure that Federal, State and City mandated M/W/DBE goals are met in accordance with governing rules, regulations and laws.

In order to meet our objective, we have implemented multifaceted and ongoing recruitment efforts. While we reach out to individual subcontractors, we also engage with various non-profit community organizations, attend conferences and conduct other outreach efforts to ensure we have communicated with as many interested disadvantaged, women, and minority businesses as possible. This approach has yielded much success and has ensured that we are able to provide many opportunities to a wide range of businesses.
